The Foreign Policy Centre is hosting a Westminster Seminar to launch its, ‘Full and Equal Citizens: how to deliver equality for Israel’s Arab minorities?’ project, supported by the Pears Foundation. The project will explore some of the main challenges facing Israel’s Arab minorities including: community relations, housing, education, economic development, employment, political representation and policing. TAFI UK is participating in a conference which launches this project.
Leo Williams, TAFI UK’s Manager, will appear on the Conference panel alongside Ivan Lewis MP (tbc), Minister of State for the Middle East, Foreign and Commonwealth Office; Aida Touma-Sliman, General Director, Women Against Violence; and Shmuel Ben-Tovim, Minister – Economic Affairs, Embassy of Israel. The panel will be chaired by Sir Jeremy Beecham.
This is a public conference, taking place at 4pm-5.30pm, Thursday November 19th 2009, Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Room, Houses of Parliament.
